Posted by Scotty on Monday, 31 of May , 2010 at 11:35 pm

Monday, March 31.  Memorial Day.  Scotty and Zita had a great show. Their 1st guest was Suzanne Taylor, Producer/Director of What On Earth? Inside the Crop Circle Mystery .  www.cropcirclemovie.com (http://www.WhatOnEarthTheMovie.com), has been involved with films since she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from NYU. Having been an actress, she crossed over to the other side of the camera as the Executive Producer of the feature documentary, CROP CIRCLES: Quest for Truth. Their 2nd guest was horror film icon, Michael Berryman, Late 1970s horror genre icon whose best known for his creepy performance as “Pluto” in the uncompromising Wes Craven horror film The Hills Have Eyes (1977). Berryman (who suffers from Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia, a rare condition leaving him with no sweat glands, hair, fingernails or teeth) reminds one of a latter-day Rondo Hatton who also suffered from a rare medical condition that distorted his features giving him a brutish look just right for horror movies.

To Berryman’s credit, he managed to develop upon his “Pluto” character, and has turned up in numerous sci-fi / fantasy movies such as My Science Project (1985), Weird Science (1985), Armed Response (1986) and Evil Spirits (1990). The tall & lean Berryman generally portrays mutant bikers, evil undertakers, monsters and other frightening characters! A genuine favorite of horror movie fans. !

Appeared in 2001 and 2002 at the Horrorfind convention in Baltimore, Maryland.

Was born with “Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia” which prevents the formation of hair, fingernails, teeth, and sweat glands. The condition is rare, inherited and incurable. Despite his lack of sweat glands, he worked on The Hills Have Eyes (1977) in the desert for 5 months in 100+ degrees heat.

Their 2nd guest was Mr. James Tague author of Truth Withheld, A Survivors Story.  This is a must read book.  It’s compelling and may just open your eyes to the truth about the Kennedy assignation.   The house was packed and everyone listened carefully to what Mr. Tague had to say.   With a strange twist of fate and planning a luncheon date, Mr. Tague found himself standing by and watching the parade of official cars approaching him.  3 shots rang out and changed his life forever.    His book is thorough, compelling and one of the best  true life crime stories you’d ever want to read.    Read more about Mr. Tague and his experience at www.jamestague.com

Our 2nd guest was the incomparable  Shawn K Clement well known composer of TV and feature films.

From TV to film to videogames, Shawn Clement has established himself as a multi-faceted composer in a wide variety of genres and styles. Clement grew up in Massachusetts, studied at Berklee College of Music, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of composing for film and television – writing music to picture.

Fairly quickly, Clement’s career became fast-paced and he built a resume of over 200 credits. In that time, Clement created the musical foundation for the voyeuristic world of reality TV before the phenomena saturated the air waves. Starting with some of reality TV’s original series, such as WORLD’S WILDEST POLICE VIDEOS, to AMERICAN IDOL and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, he will continue to set the tone for years to come.

In recognition of his definitive style and accomplishments, ASCAP presented Clement with a Film and Television Music Award for Most Performed Underscore. Clement’s most notable TV series, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, came in the midst of his reality TV period. The acclaimed cult series proved that his talents extend beyond the genre of reality TV. Clement translated his musical palette into the world of videogames, again ahead of the curve. His music has set the gaming tone for hit titles including Sony’s OPEN SEASON, Electronic Arts’ THE SIMS 2 and BATMAN: VENGEANCE for Warner Bros.

Clement segued into film with WE MARRIED MARGO (winner of the Audience Favorite Award at the HBO/U.S. Comedy & Arts Festival), and LAST CHANCE (winner of Best Original Drama at World Fest). Clement has returned to his roots in sci-fi, one of his favorite genres, for his recent film project QUANTUM QUEST. QUANTUM QUEST boasts an all-star cast, a STAR WARS meets STAR TREK extravaganza that includes sci-fi film icons Chris Pine, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayden Christensen, Amanda Peet, Robert Picardo, Brent Spiner, James Earl Jones, William Shatner, Mark Hamill, and Astronaut Neil Armstrong. He recorded his original score for QUANTUM QUEST at George Lucas’ legendary Skywalker Ranch in April with an 82-piece orchestra. The score was nominated for “Best Original Score” at the 2009 Hollywood Music In Media Awards. In Movie Score Magazine’s “Top 10 Most Anticipated Film Scores of 2010”, Clement’s QUANTUM QUEST score earned the prestigious recognition of “keeping an eye (and ear) on.” QUANTUM QUEST premieres in theaters in early 2010 accompanied by a soundtrack release of his epic score.

2010 is off to an exhilarating start for Clement with the first feature film of a three-picture deal set to begin in January; the releases of indie feature films, PLAY ON and FINALE, which will also see a soundtrack release. Clement has also enthusiastically signed on to score the upcoming feature film currently in-development, SINBAD: THE FIFTH VOYAGE, as well as the comedy western JOHNSON & JOHNSON on which he is also an Executive Producer. Clement is also an Executive Producer of MASTERS OF SOUND, a music-themed television series currently in pre-production.
